Effects of Depression



Hey, Beautiful people,
Depression is of many types and it may cause to anyone at any age. So the question here is, what do humans suffer if he/she is into to it?
Depression after stressful events for example:- life challenges, Separations, divorce, bereavement. If this feeling staying for many weeks or months then it can be declared as depression. The psychological symptoms would be noticed such as:-
  • Loss of interest in activities
  • The feeling of sadness and hopelessness  
  • Low self-esteem 
  • Feeling tearful
  • Feeling Guilty 
  • Irritability and intolerance of others 
  • No motivation
  • Difficulty with making decisions
  • No enjoyment out of life 
  • Anxiety or worrying feelings 
  • Suicidal Thoughts 
There would also be some physical symptoms as well such as:- 

  • Fatigue 
  • Slow movements and slow speaking 
  • Changes in appetite (weight loss/gain)
  • Unexplained aches and pains 
  • Low sex drive 
  • Constipation 
  • Changes in the menstrual cycle 
  • Disturbed sleep 
There is no formula guaranteeing a stress-free life, but there are some techniques for minimizing stress:

  • It's never too late to learn a new skill.
  • Always be flexible in your attitude.
  • Relive pressure by discussing work problems openly.
  • Learn to talk openly about your emotions and feelings with close friends and family. 
  • Do not ignore your problems. Acknowledge them as they arise. 
  • Practise meditation. 
  • Plan Fun activities every weekend. 
  • Get involved in doing some art-work.
